BIRD & BEVAN

About ROD GLOVEr

Rod was born with art and craft projects in his soul and a love of cooking with herbs. He has always lived by a river. He opened his Bird and Bevan studio near Rocky Marsh Run in 2019 after many years in the urban retail world. Rod remembers day-long mountain wanders on his grandparents farm when he was a kid and loves foraging in the woods and fields of West Virginia. He also loves using a paintbrush, working with scrap wood, consulting on design projects and gluing things to paper.

He never knows when a whisper or a breeze or a scent will lead him to a moment of discovery.

About BIRD & BEVAN

Bird & Bevan offers artistic botanical expressions made by hand utilizing what can be found in nature. We forage for our materials and process most of our botanical specimens in the studio. Bird & Bevan only uses what is plentiful, never rare or endangered species.

Bird & Bevan also offers intimate, simple and unpretentious works of art in various mediums, such as collage, painting, sculpture and assemblage.

Bird & Bevan believes in a comprehensive aesthetic. All things are impermanent, imperfect and incomplete. We discover beauty in small, often overlooked details.
